Game servers that
survive the attack.

Game servers are among the most attacked workloads online, and generic filtering breaks them — it drops the very UDP traffic the game runs on. Ours is game-aware, so hostile floods get scrubbed while your players stay connected.

  • DDoS filtered at the edge
  • Full root for any game server
  • Frankfurt and Amsterdam
  • Unlimited traffic

What you get

What actually decides whether players stay.

Tick rate, latency and staying online through an attack. Everything else is detail.

Game-aware filtering

Per-game filters for FiveM, Minecraft, Rust, CS2 and more — hostile traffic is dropped, legitimate UDP is not.

High-clock processors

Most game servers are bound by single-thread performance, so we put them on high-frequency cores rather than many slow ones.

Always-on DDoS mitigation

Protection runs continuously at the network edge. There is nothing to enable when an attack starts.

Full root access

Install any game panel, mod loader or custom binary. It is your server, not a locked-down game panel.

Low-latency EU routing

European data centres with direct exchange connectivity keep ping low across the continent.

Support that knows games

A team that has seen FiveM, Rust and Minecraft setups before, available around the clock.

How it works

From order to first player joining.

Provisioning is minutes, not days — most of the work is the game, not the server.

Under the hood

Real hardware. Not marketing hardware.

Your service runs on servers we assemble and burn-in test ourselves — modern AMD and Intel platforms with ECC memory and enterprise NVMe, racked in our EU facilities in Frankfurt and the Netherlands.

  • Enterprise NVMe with redundant data paths
  • ECC memory on every node
  • Stress-tested before entering production

Why game servers here

The two things that decide a match.

Game servers live and die on latency and on staying up while somebody tries to take them down. Both are handled in the network rather than sold as an add-on.

Attacks filtered before they land

Mitigation sits in the network edge, so hostile traffic is scrubbed upstream while legitimate players keep connecting.

Low ping across Europe

Frankfurt and Amsterdam put most European players a short hop away, on a backbone with more than one way in and out.

Up before the lobby fills

The server is imaged, networked and booted with root access ready, so you can be installing the game server minutes after ordering.

DDoS-protected game hosting

Built for game servers.
Filtered for your game.

Game servers are among the most attacked workloads on the internet. Every Hostigan VPS ships with always-on, game-aware DDoS protection — with dedicated filters for the games communities actually run, so your players stay connected while attacks get scrubbed.

Tbps-scale mitigation

Volumetric floods are absorbed at network scale before they ever reach your server.

Line-rate filtering

Modern XDP/eBPF packet filtering scrubs attack traffic at wire speed with minimal latency.

Symmetric filtering

Filtering is tuned for the lowest false-positive rate, so real players never get dropped mid-session.

Always-on protection

Permanent mitigation with automatic port learning — no manual activation when an attack starts.

Questions

Game server hosting questions.

What matters for a game server is latency and staying online while someone tries to knock you off it. Here is how both work here.

Ask a question
Which games can I host?

Anything you can install yourself. You get a virtual server with full root access, so Minecraft, CS2, Rust, ARK, Valheim, FiveM and the rest are a matter of installing the server software you want, at the version you want.

Is DDoS protection included, and does it cost extra?

Included on every plan, with no per-attack fee. This matters more for game servers than almost any other workload, because attacks on them are routine rather than exceptional.

How does the DDoS filtering actually work?

Mitigation sits in the network edge rather than on your server. Hostile traffic is scrubbed upstream, so your uplink and your CPU are not spent absorbing it and legitimate players keep connecting during an attack.

What ping will my players get?

That depends on where your players are, so we will not quote a number we have not measured for you. Structurally, our servers sit in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Eygelshoven, Europe's densest interconnection region, with transit from several Tier 1 carriers. Players in Denmark, Germany, the Benelux and the UK are typically within a few tens of milliseconds; ask us and we will give you a test IP to ping.

How much CPU and RAM do I need?

Most game servers are single-thread sensitive, so clock speed and dedicated cores matter more than core count. As a rough guide, a small private server is comfortable on a lower plan while a busy modded server wants more memory than you first expect. Ask us with your player count and modlist and we will suggest a size.

Do I get root access to install a game panel?

Yes. Full root over SSH means you can install Pterodactyl, run the game server directly, or use whatever tooling your community already knows.

How fast can I get started?

Setup is automatic — the server is imaged, networked and booted within minutes of ordering, so you can be installing the game server the same evening rather than waiting on provisioning.

Is there a traffic limit?

No. Traffic is unlimited on every plan, which matters for a game server where a full lobby generates constant upstream.

Do I get backups?

Free daily backups are included. Worth knowing before the first time a mod update eats a world file.

Can I upgrade mid-season if the server fills up?

Yes. Plans can be moved up as your community grows, and there is no minimum term holding you on a size that no longer fits.

Custom configurations

Need something we don't list?

Larger disks, a different CPU, more RAM, a specific storage layout — almost anything is possible. Tell us what the workload actually needs and we will prepare an individual offer.

Tell us the workload and budget — most quotes come back within one business day.
  • Larger or additional disksExtra NVMe capacity and custom RAID layouts.
  • A different processorHigher clock speeds or a specific core count.
  • More memoryAdditional RAM, including ECC on request.
  • Network & IP requirementsFaster uplinks, extra IPv4 ranges, private VLANs.
